Africa Map Quiz is a small, fast geography game with two modes. In Map Mode (the home page) we name a country and you click it on a clean SVG map of Africa — all 54 UN-recognised countries from Cabo Verde to Madagascar. The Daily Capital Quiz at /daily flips the prompt: we show you a country, you pick its capital — sometimes the inverse, capital → country, or country → subregion (Northern, Western, Central, Eastern, Southern Africa). Same puzzle goes out to everyone, so you can compare your time and accuracy with a friend. The puzzle resets at 00:00 UTC. Past days are kept in a 90-day archive at /archive, and the unlimited mode at /unlimited shuffles a fresh set on every play. We cover all 54 sovereign African nations including the newest country in the world (South Sudan, 2011) and the often-confused capital pairs like Republic of the Congo (Brazzaville) and DR Congo (Kinshasa). Each African subregion has its own landing page at /africa/{northern,western,central,eastern,southern}. If you like maps you'll probably like the rest of the GeoSites portfolio: sibling regional Map Quizzes for Europe, Asia, and South America, a clickable US-states puzzle, a states-and-capitals quiz, a daily flag quiz, a daily country quiz, and a daily geography quiz. Cross-links live in the footer.
